When to call us
Signs you need cockroach control in Sydney
Most problems are worth treating sooner than later. Here are the signals our technicians hear most.
Cockroaches in the kitchen or bathroom
Sightings during the day usually mean a larger population hiding behind appliances, in walls or under vanities.
Droppings or egg cases in cupboards
Small dark specks or capsule-shaped cases in drawers and cupboards are a clear sign of an active infestation.
A musty, oily smell
Cockroaches leave a distinctive odour that gets stronger as the population grows behind walls.
You've seen one in the daytime
A single daytime sighting in a food area is worth acting on quickly, before the population spreads.
Cockroach activity in the pantry
Sightings near stored food or pet bowls usually mean the infestation is established and needs professional treatment to break the breeding cycle.
Identification guide
Common cockroaches in Sydney.
Three species cause almost all the trouble in Sydney homes. Knowing which one you have tells us where to treat.

German cockroach
Small (12-15 mm), light amber-brown with two dark stripes on the shield behind the head. The most common cockroach in Australian houses and apartments — it breeds fast indoors and lives in cracks and crevices around kitchens and bathrooms.

American cockroach
Large (35-40 mm), reddish-brown with a pale edge behind the head. Usually comes in from drains, sewers and gardens, then settles in wall voids, roof spaces and behind cupboards.

Australian cockroach
About 35 mm, with yellow markings on the thorax and the front edge of the wings — easily mistaken for the American cockroach. Mostly lives outdoors in gardens and leaf litter, but moves into subfloor, wall and roof voids.

Treatment process
How cockroach control works
Every job starts with finding the source, not just treating the symptom.
Map the harbourage
We inspect behind appliances, under vanities and in wall cavities to find where they're breeding and how they're getting in.
Treat at the source
Gel baits, residual treatments and void treatments are placed where cockroaches live and travel, chosen for your situation.
Hygiene & prevention advice
We show you what's attracting them and how to seal gaps.
Verify & advise
We recheck the harbourages, confirm activity has dropped and tell you what to watch for over the next week.

In detail
Gel baits, sprays and why cockroaches keep coming back
The treatment matters as much as the product. Here's how the options differ.
Why surface spray fails
A surface spray kills what walks over it. Cockroaches living in wall voids, behind appliances and under vanities never touch it, so the breeding population survives.
How gel bait works
Gel bait is placed where cockroaches feed and travel. They carry it back to the harbourage, which breaks the breeding cycle rather than just reducing sightings.
How long until they're gone
Most households see a clear drop within a week. A follow-up confirms the harbourages are clear and the bait has been taken.
Guide
Cockroach Control Sydney: Kitchens, Bathrooms & Wall Cavities
The practical answers on cockroach control: which species you'll meet in Sydney homes, the signs of an infestation, where they hide and how professional treatment gets rid of them.
Cockroach species in Sydney homes
The most common are the German cockroach, which breeds fast indoors, the larger American cockroach and the outdoor Australian cockroach. Identifying the species shapes where the treatment goes.
Signs of a cockroach infestation
Look for small dark droppings in cupboards and along skirting, capsule-shaped egg cases, a musty oily smell and cockroaches scuttling into shadows when the lights go on.
Where cockroaches hide
Behind fridges and stoves, under vanities, inside wall cavities and around drains, always close to food, moisture and warmth. Treating these harbourages is what stops them breeding.
How to get rid of cockroaches fast
Gel baits and residual treatments placed at the source work far better than surface sprays you can buy yourself. Most households see a clear improvement within a week.

What Sydney clients say
Rated 4.9 from 120 Google reviews across Sydney.
“AJ did a great job and was thorough with the treatment and the German cockroaches issue disappeared very quickly. He was friendly and courteous as well. Overall a great experience.”
“German cockroaches had taken over behind the fridge and under the sink. The cockroach treatment used gel baits rather than a spray, and within a week we were only seeing the occasional dead one. The follow-up confirmed they were gone.”
“We kept finding cockroaches in the bathroom at night and couldn't work out where they came from. They treated the kitchen, bathroom and wall cavities and explained how they were getting in from the neighbouring unit.”
